摘　　要：The Social Relief Principle is a necessary aspect of justice in modern society, and a complementarity of the principle of equal opportunity and the principle of distribution according to devotion. This principle has played more and more important role in society with the development of modernization and market economy. The author believes that the relief principle is not only a social activity for “almsgiving”, but also an essential order to ensure the society in security, improve the life qualities, and advance the ability of social regeneration. Today, it can hardly image that a society will run normally and develop well\|ordered without this principle, which has made very great elevation about it’s basic ideas, contents, and functions compared with the past.
