摘　　要：English allusion is regarded as the most active and important elements of English words.It is widely accepted by the people of English speaking countries and is widely used in people's daily life such as: newspaper,magazines,TV and radios and so on,because of its characteristics-short,concise,humorous,and full of truth.As one of the basic tools of inheriting and recording the culture and language of English language,it has a very important role in people's daily life,and in a certain,it reflects some culture information of certain areas,certain history,certain nationalities,certain folk customs and so on,so the English allusions have a certain connotation.Learning it can help English-learners develop their capacity for understanding and using English.
