摘　　要：This paper deals with the ef ects of salinity on the eggs and newlyhatched larvae of Mugil so-iuy. It was found that all the fertilized eggs were hatched out within the range of salinity 5‰-40‰, and the normal hatching rate was the highest at 35.6%. Moreover, the larvae hatched at salinity 35.6%0 were able to survive within the range of salinity 5.1‰-43.2‰. And the effect of salinity, on the length of the newly-hatched larvae was discussed.
