摘　　要：In their article “pu 匍”-inscrihed Duck-shaped Bronze He Tripod and the “Fupin 聘JRite”, Mr. Wang Longzheng and others made a decipherment of the inscription on the vessel, and sol.red anumber of problems in it. But the character “柬” was not successfully deciphered, which made the textincoherent and difficut to understand. In my opinion, the “柬” should be read as “管”, which is identicalwith “管” and means house. The inscription shows that during the Western Zhou period, feudatoryprincedoms built special houses as hotels for envoys sent to them.
