摘　　要：This article discusses John Deweys examination of American capitalisms conditions and its way out during the period from the Great Depression to the New Deal, as well as his dissection of socialism of the Soviet mode. By referring to Dewey, the article also attempts to reveal the root caue of contemporary American capitalisms continuance and development, and to provide lessons for the Chinese to draw from in their system reconstruction.
