摘　　要：The move after WWII of American adulation and economic activities from urban areas towards suburbs converted the United Statesinto a suburbanized country by the 1970s. The swift and dramaticgrowth of suburbanized has produced a far-reaching influence onAmerican urban structure, population distribution, life style, andfederal policies.
