摘 要:In the process of teaching English as a foreign language to L2 learners(whose native language is not the target language), the appliance of the student's native language has became a common situation. However, the function of the native language in the classroom is under controversy. Some teachers may say the native language would distract the teaching process and the students tend to reply on their familiar language. While others states that the native language could be an efficient teaching tool provided language teachers apply it in the classroom in a more proper way.
