摘　　要：Purpose/Background:Oral cancer is the sixth most common malignancies worldwide and one of the leading causes of cancer-related morbidity and mortality to date, representing up more than 90% of oral cancers is oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC). Oral submucous fibrosis(OSF) is a potentially malignant disease associated with the habit of chewing areca or areca and its derivatives. Currently, there is no reliable diagnostic strategy to monitor the early malignant transformation of OSF. In this study, we examined the association of PDL1/PD-1 expression with the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis and compared their expression between OSCC with OSF versus without OSF patients. Materials and Methods:The expressions of PD-L1/PD-1 were detected by immunohistochemistry in 88 cases of OSCC. The medium follow-up time after surgery was 26 months(range from 3 to 71 months). The clinicopathological variables of OSCC patients were compared using the chi-square test. The prognostic value of PD-L1/PD-1 was determined by Kaplan-Meier analysis and Cox proportional hazard models.
