摘 要:Object: Myocardial fibrosis is the endpoint pathology common to many cardiovascular disorders.We have previously shown that apocynin (APO), a naturally occurring NADPH oxidase inhibitor, significantly prevents the development of isoproterenol (ISO)-induced myocardial injury and fibrogenesis.Moreover, the cardio-protective effects of APO were associated with decreased production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and suppressed expression of inflammatory cytokines and extracellular matrix (ECM) genes.In this study, we performed integrative analyses of miRNA and gene expression profiles to increase the molecular understanding of the cardio-protective activities of APO.
